Simiyu House Corporation

Simiyu House Corporation is a grass-roots organization that is based in education.  Venturing to Kenya through Indiana University's Cultural Immersions Project, participant (and Simiyu House CEO) Eric Smith saw a need for something to begin.  At age 22, he created Simiyu House and Project Kenya has been a success.  Dedicated to the project, Eric resigned from his first teaching job to spend three months in Kenya to give this project its foundation, and it is now moving forward each day.

Simiyu House has identified thirty (30) local orphans within walking distance of the Simiyu House compound in Kenya.  The goal now is to begin supporting these children in their current environment with a focus on safe environment, formal education, and life skills.
