San Jose Public Library Foundation

A nonprofit organization

$8,457 raised by 69 donors

At the heart of our community, our Library provides a place where everyone can learn, create, study and explore. The San José Public Library Foundation was established in 1987 by a group of community volunteers who understood that a great Library system needed more than public funding.

Private support is extremely important for our San José Public Library. Although our Library is partially funded by tax dollars and allocations from the City of San José, private support is critical and ensures that quality materials, programs and services continue at your local Library.

We continue this legacy. Libraries ensure an equal playing field for all, where a community can gather to reconnect, re-engage and freely access information. Access to knowledge and information that is the gateway to your future.

Your gift to the San José Public Library Foundation provides learning opportunities in our library branches for children, access to technology and a vast array of ideas making our children and adults future ready.

As an important part of out of school learning, your gifts underwrite homework help, coding classes, robotics activities, and programs for our community members to learn about and work with cutting edge technology like 3-D printers.
