Giving back by giving kids with cancer opportunities to get back in the game

The mission of the SkiFast Foundation is to provide scholarships to pediatric sarcoma cancer warriors as they strive to return to their pre-diagnosis extracurricular passions or explore new interests in order to keep them motivated and engaged with their community, both during and post-treatment. Scholarship recipients have used their funds for to be able to participate in opportunities involving, sports, the arts, music, science and education. These funds may also be used for applicants needing prosthetic or specialized equipment.

 Whether it be through attending sports or academic camps, planning travel for study or competition, or through personal trainers, tutors, teachers or specialized programs that target their goals, the purpose of the financial support is to assist the warriors' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.  Campbell Sullivan, who founded the SkiFast Foundation at 17 years old in the midst of her own battle with CIC-DUX4 sarcoma wanted to provide financial support for kids and young adults so they too could stay engaged with their friends, coaches, sports teams, dance teams, whatever it was that kept them connected and supported. Campbell was a passionate alpine ski racer and the bond she had with her team and her coaches was an essential and crucial part of her battle with cancer.
