St. Louis County Library Foundation

SLCL is more than a library district. Our 20 branches also serve as community hubs that provide free books to children for literacy support, access to an accredited adult high school education program, technology to bridge the digital divide, fresh produce and meals to aid in hunger relief, tutoring services for students, rental assistance for families in need, and so much more! The Foundation empowers SLCL to continue to provide vital resources and services, like the ones mentioned above, which are not funded by library tax dollars.

Examples of SLCL's Impactful Programming

Early Literacy - 116,639 Bags delivered through the Born to Read program since 2015
Food Equity - 1.2M meals provided in partnership with Operation Food Search since 2021
Community Support & Services - 117 Adults have earned their accredited high school diploma online through the Excel Adult High School program since 2017
