Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access

Since 1971, the Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access (SCLDA) has worked with all Smithsonian museums and research centers empowering learners to explore their own interests and collaborate with others to bring ideas to life.

The Center creates models and methods that make the Smithsonian a learning laboratory for everyone through our website, SmithsonianEducation, which hosts more than 2,000 learning resources aligned to learning standards.

We host Smithsonian Quests, a project-based learning program that inspires students to discover new interests, build skills, and try new roles that can lead to careers.

And we are now creating the Smithsonian Learning Lab, a new online platform that will enable educators everywhere to create new learning resources based on Smithsonian collections and resources.

Our educational resources are available to everyone, everywhere. A donation to SCLDA is a donation that will benefit teachers and students across America and around the world.
