Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary Inc

A nonprofit organization

$2,170 raised by 35 donors

Located in the mountains outside McCall, Idaho, Snowdon was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1989. Since then it has continuously housed and cared for a wide range of mammals and birds from all over Idaho.

We specialize in the rehabilitation of local wildlife inclusive of orphaned baby birds and mammals; and injured small mammals, songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors. The facility provides native wildlife habitat and natural conditions that help orphaned bear cubs, deer, local birds, and other small mammals assimilate back into the wild. Animals received by Snowdon are in distress due to injury, loss of parents, or loss of habitat.

In addition to wildlife rehabilitation, Snowdon offers off and on-site interpretive programs throughout the year. Various topics are available including Falcons, Owls and Black Bear Awareness.

Snowdon is wholly dependent on donations, small grants and dedicated volunteers - including its board of directors - to keep the sanctuary operational.
