Society for Disabled Children

Serving those with special needs in Kern County for almost 70 years, the Society for Disabled Children is committed to providing programs and services to disabled children and their families.  Throughout the year we host social activities, speech therapy, transportation assistance to out of town doctor appointments, medical equipment, an afterschool and summer learning program, and since 1975 we have been host to Camp Blue Jay. Kern Countys only summer camp for special needs children. 

  Our goal is to help each child reach his or her full potential with the opportunities our programs provide and to make these available regardless of a families ability to pay.
