John (not his real name) came to us looking for utility assistance. We scheduled him for a Home Visit, anticipating his need could be addressed at that time. He came in to see us about two weeks later, when he received a disconnection notice. John is a senior citizen, with just enough income to pay his rent and remaining bills; medical costs sometimes interrupt his budget. We contacted Intermountain Gas Company, made payment arrangements, and pledged $150 in assistance. John's service was restored in the middle of winter, keeping him warm and healthy. Since then, John has also utilized our clothing voucher program, and has received food from our food pantry.

Who We Are

The Holy Spirit Conference of St. Vincent de Paul remains dedicated to its mission to the poor even in these challenging and uncertain times. We strive to serve people one-on-one with dignity and respect and we hope to grow in holiness in the process, because we believe all people are deserving of dignity and respect.

All funds raised from this campaign will help us upgrade the exterior of our facility and enhance the safety, security and beautification of the building and grounds. The proposed repairs and improvements include a new safe parking lot, new accessible entry stairs and ramp, removal of compound fencing, landscaping, exterior wall painting, foundation repair, planters, bench seating, security lighting, and new signage. These improvements will serve our patrons and the community well into the future.
