Solid Foundation Skatepark Inc

In 1999 I got together with Andrew Escobar and my cousin Matt Wolfe to set up some parking-lot skate sessions at Andrew's church.  Three years later we had 300 skaters coming to that parking lot and the church was a bit concerned about the liability.  

In 2002 we partnered with a local non-profit organization called Touch The World [TTW].  We took our parking-lot skatepark idea to the property of a TTW supporter: a small industrial park in Midland Park, NJ.  

Since then, we have expanded Solid Foundation Skatepark into five departments: the skatepark, SkateClub, Skateboarding Missions, The Art Dept, and Skate Mentoring.  

On an average year 500 young people come through our organization, and the generosity of donors and volunteers make our programs possible. 

Our goal for the next year is to raise the funds needed to move Solid Foundation and all the programs we offer indoors to our own facility.
