$5,000 Goal

Soromundi, which means “sisters of the world,” is a non-auditioned choir open to any adult who identifies as a woman and wishes to sing under the banner, Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eugene. Based in Eugene, Oregon, Soromundi was founded in 1989 by Karm Hagedorn and a small group of civic-minded singers, activists who marched, petitioned, and showed up for LGBTQ causes, their voices raised in song.

Thirty-two years later, Soromundi is a 501(c)3 organization, still raising its voice for local and national causes, performing “run out” concerts for various groups like Looking Glass Riverfront School and staging benefits for Sexual Assault Support Services and Friendly Kitchen in Roseburg, Oregon.

National Give Out Day Goal

Soromundi’s 22-23 season will focus on creating collaborations with musicians from diverse cultures based here in Oregon. We wish to celebrate and learn through the universal language of music. To that cause, we hope to raise $5,000 during the month of June, and we’ll make a special push on on June 30th, National Give Out Day.
