Founded in 1956, Soroptimist of Rio Vista emerged in a small, unincorporated community that was among the oldest in Solano County. From the outset, our organization has been committed to improving the lives of women and girls through initiatives that prioritize education and economic empowerment. In our early days, we forged strong connections with Soroptimist International, enhancing our advocacy efforts at the global level, including a partnership with the United Nations. Together, we champion women’s rights, striving for equality in education, economic opportunities, and pay.Join us as we continue this vital work, uplifting women and girls in our community and beyond, and building a brighter future for all.

Soroptimist International Rio Vista is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. Soroptimist International is a cause-related philanthropic federation of clubs improving the lives of women and girls through social and economic empowerment.
