SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary

#giveBIGscv on April 27, 2021, is the official launch of our fundraising campaign to raise money for a new shelter for our resident pig, Rosie. We are also raising funds to update the electrical at the sanctuary. Our goal is to raise $2,500 during giveBIG St. Croix Valley, but we can't get there without your help.

Through the COVID-19 pandemic, SoulSpace has continued to care for our 50+ residents and welcomed new residents who needed sanctuary. During the past year, we realized that we needed more space and some updates to our 150-year-old farm property.  Your donation on giveBIG St. Croix Valley will go toward building a new shelter for Rosie and a new electrical set-up for the sanctuary.

ABOUT SOULSPACE

SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary's mission is to rescue and protect farm animals from abuse and neglect, bring awareness to the way society views farm animals, promote mindful and compassionate living.  We currently provide a forever home to more than 50 residents rescued from abuse, neglect, and abandonment situations.

At SoulSpace, people of all ages have the opportunity to volunteer at the farm and experience the animals firsthand. We offer educational tours with the hopes of opening people’s hearts and minds to the animals and their stories. We invite groups from schools and underserved youth to visit the farm for fresh air, exercise, and hands-on service learning.

 SoulSpace has become a fixture within the St. Croix County community, where people in and outside the area visit and volunteer to connect with the animals and renew themselves.

There is a tremendous need for farm sanctuaries in the Midwest.  SoulSpace was the first farm sanctuary near the Twin Cities metro area and one of only a handful in the Midwest.

Create a more humane world for farm animals by bringing awareness to the systematic cruelty in our farming system and inspiring change in the way we treat farm animals,  create a world where all animals are protected and respected
