$5,000 Goal

Folsom Street cultivates a safe, open, and inclusive environment for the kink, leather, and alternative sexuality communities while centering equity for BIPOC and LGBTQA2I+ people. We are rooted in the ght against gentrication and displacement here in San Francisco, on unceded Ohlone land, and worldwide. We are dedicated to sexual liberation and the human right to pleasure as a crucial part of the whole liberation movement. We are an explicitly anti- racist organization committed to decolonizing our practices. Since 1984, our large events have brought 200,000+ people to the streets of San Francisco. In 2021 we opened the Folsom Street Community Center, allowing artists, performers, nonprofits, and community groups to educate, meet, develop works, display visual arts, and put on performances and events. In 2020 and 2021 we changed the entire racial and gender balance of our leadership and board of directors, employed a majority of QTPOC artists and performers, and made huge strides on our DEI commitments. We are excited to honor our history and legacy while continuing to grow and serve our communities for our 40th Folsom Street Fair and beyond!
