South Park Meals-On-Wheels

We are currently setting up in our new location and are temporarily close.  We will be back to serving our community soon!  We are now located in Jefferson Hills, PA, at the Gill Hall Fire Department.  South Park Meals on Wheels has been delivering meals to neighbors for over 35 years.  We serve residents in South Park, Pleasant Hills, Jefferson Hills, and neighboring parts of both Baldwin and Whitehall.  Anyone over age 60 or anyone with a physical or mental disability,  dealing with an illness, or recovering from surgery is eligible to receive meals.  Clients receive a well balanced diet consisting of a hot meal for lunch, a bagged dinner and dessert, and small breakfast for the next morning.  We  do not receive any funding from the government, state, or county.  We rely completely on community support and generous donors to help supply food, packaging and operating funds.  Our program is currently run on an a volunteer staff with one paid director to ensure the program continues into the future.  We have almost 100 volunteers who caringly help prepare and deliver meals to about 100 clients, 5 days a week.  THERE IS NO COST TO CLIENTS for this service, but most generously give $5.00 a day to help offset packaging and operations costs.  Please consider donating to this wonderful program.  Thank you so very much!
