A PLACE TO BELONG
Lasting personal and social change comes when we all work together. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. This means providing our community with affordable resources for positive development, recreation, health and beyond.
IN MEMORY OF JOSEPH MICHEL
Joseph "Joe" Michel was a man committed to strengthening communities and building relationships through his own health and wellness journey. Joe was more than a member of the South Sound YMCA. He was an individual who inspired change within our community. Whether he was lifting weights, running, attending Senior Fitness with his wife, Darlene, teaching scuba or swimming lessons in the pool, or calling for donations, Joe inspired people to do and be more. Joe Michel was a community member who wanted everyone to thrive in a place they knew they belonged. He inspired others to overcome their fear of water and gain confidence through swimming. He inspired others to invest in our community in ways that expand opportunities for all. Joe's Y was centered around people, community, and overall wellness.
Please consider donating in memory of Joe Michel to help us create a stronger community.
