Southeast Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center

A nonprofit organization

Southeast Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center (Southesat PA AHEC) works to enhance access to high-quality, culturally responsive health care by strengthening the distribution and diversity of the health workforce in medically underserved areas. Through innovative academic and community partnerships, Southeast PA AHEC recruits and prepares the next generation of primary care professionals—especially those committed to serving in rural and urban communities where care is often hardest to access.

We proudly serve communities across Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, and Philadelphia counties, focusing our efforts where the need is greatest.

Our work supports students from middle school through professional training, including partnerships with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community-based clinics, and academic institutions. We focus on creating meaningful pipelines into health careers, particularly for those from underrepresented backgrounds.

For this year's DelCo Gives, our goal is to raise $5,000 to sponsor a cohort of DelCo high school students to attend the 2025 Health Careers Explorers Summer Camp at Widener University. With your support, we hope to stretch even further—every dollar over $5,000 will help us reach even more students across the region.

At Southeast PA AHEC, we believe health equity starts with access—and access starts with people. Your support helps us invest in the future of healthcare by nurturing the professionals who will serve where they are needed most.
