Southern California Mountains Foundation

Southern California Mountains Foundation (SCMF), is a non-profit organization that focuses on  conservation, outdoor education, and responsible recreation within the Southern California mountains. Harnessing volunteers, donations, and grants, SCMF provides multiple ways for individuals and communities to connect to their public lands.  This years conservation focus is tree planting within the Lake Fire of the San Bernardino National Forest.  In 2015, the Lake Fire burned over 40,000 acres on critical lands within the San Gorgonio Wilderness and it's borders. We are fundraising to help the Forest Service replant this area.  Here is how your donation will help:

• Your $10 will  fund our Urban Conservation Corps to plant a tree and learn conservation-oriented jobs skills. 
• Your $20 will help fund our crews to plant 5 trees.
• Your $50 will help fund our crews to plant 20 trees. 
• A $100 donation will help plant 75 trees.

We believe that understanding and sharing our environment makes us better stewards. Helping the Forest Service fund restoration activities on public land is one of the many ways SCMF supports the local communities and government in managing and caring for our forests.

Your support also enables us to perform much-needed work for our forests including: 

• Propagating native seedlings and planting them in the National Forest.

• Protecting acres of threatened and endangered species.
• Maintaining miles of trail for the enjoyment of our community.
• Removing acres of invasive weeds so native species can thrive.
