Southern Maryland Carousel Group Inc

We started carving animals in 2005 with the idea to build a hand carved traditional carousel much like the one that used to be at Marshall Hall Park.  We have hand carved 50 full sized carousel animals using woodcarving techniques from the heyday of carousels of the late 1800s to early 1900s.  We also have carved 2 handicapped accessible chariots.

When complete this facility will house a carousel, wood carving museum and a woodcarving learning center for youth and adults.
