The SUU Community Engagement Center was recently named to the President's Higher Education Service Honor Roll with Distinction.  Students demonstrated over 140,000 hours of community service and service-learning! 

We match students with opportunities for hands on experiences that enrich their educational experiences.

We facilitate many community programs:
Wee Swim--free swimming lessons for Head Start preschoolers and their siblings
SUU Discover--weekly story time at the Cedar Public Library
We Be Groovin'--weekly afterschool dance program at East Elementary
Paiute Center Tutoring--four afternoons per week SUU students volunteer to help with homework and mentor Native American students.
After School Sports--weekly afterschool sports/leadership program for middle school students
Alternative Breaks--eight day humanitarian service trips
Iron County Holiday Assistance--providing Christmas to over 1,000 Iron County children
