Spark Academy of Advanced Technologies

A nonprofit organization

Spark Academy of Advanced Technologies is a chartered public high school located on the campus of Manchester Community College (MCC.) We opened in 2019 with just 23 ninth grade students and now we have 100 students in all four grades (9-12.) We are providing opportunities for New Hampshire students to earn professional certifications and college credits while they are in high school, with an initial focus on Automated Manufacturing and Mechatronics.

  • 17 Spark students so far have earned an Associate Degree from MCC before graduating from high school. We expect another seven to do so this year!
  • All of our students start out on the Automated Manufacturing (AMT) pathway with Intro To Robotics with VEX IQ, 3-D Printing, Computer Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks, PLC's, Print Reading, and Manufacturing Processes, along with Humanities, Science, and Mathematics classes.
  • To date, 47 of our students have earned the CSRW: Associate Level SolidWorks certification.
  • Our students have also branched out into HVAC, cybersecurity, welding, small engines, graphic design, and nursing.
  • Our young graduates are working at ARMI/BioFab, DEKA Research & Development, Summit Packaging, RevTec (Revolutionary Technologies), Envision, and as automation technicians at the Walmart Distribution Center in Raymond, NH. Some of our graduates are pursuing four year degrees at WPI, MIT, UNH Durham, Plymouth State, Keene State, Florida Tech, the University of Vermont, and Wentworth College.

Our students work in our 3D print farm learning a hands-on application of the entire manufacturing process. Last year they printed and kitted over 3000 XRP robots and distributed them to schools all over New Hampshire. Our print farm was featured in one of Bambu Lab's case studies in 2025.

Our Creative Manufacturing Program gives students the opportunity to explore everything from crafts such as textiles, stained glass, and jewelry making to crafting real-world solutions in the machine shop like plant supports for the Flex Farm, our indoor hydroponic garden. The Flex Farm enables our students to grow food, flowers, and herbs to provide to our school community. Our school culture is one of inclusivity, where our students are recognized as individuals and they each have a voice. We are committed to helping every student find their passion and their path, and one way we do this is by providing them as many opportunities to grow and explore career paths as possible.

Your donation will directly benefit our students by paying for their Early College classes, by enabling us to add opportunities for apprenticeships and internships, and by helping us craft new pathways and extended learning opportunities for them. You will also be helping our local companies here in NH that are desperately in need of a skilled technician workforce, because many of our students are training to fill that need.

Spark Academy students graduate as the problem solvers of tomorrow! Thank you so much for your support.
