The SPARK Initiative

The SPARK Initiative is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to cultivate human potential and resiliency locally and globally through education, mentoring, and coaching, centered on an understanding of the mind that SPARKs innate mental health. 

Our programs include:

The SPARK Mentoring Program Speaks to the Potential, Ability, and Resilience inside every Kid! SPARK gives at-risk youth the opportunity to understand how their mind works, uncover their resilience, and unleash their potential to make healthier decisions and navigate through life with confidence. 

The Insight to Well-Being Program focuses on the adult populations we serve in our community, leading support groups with sex-trafficking survivors, women, and male incarcerated Veterans. This program gives these adults an opportunity to see their resilience to overcome hard times and to connect with their innate well-being to create a happier and healthier lifestyle. 

The SPARKING CHANGE Youth Leadership Program is an intensive and immersive, leadership program that gathers an impressive, creative and inspiring group of young change-makers that form a strong coalition for positive, sustainable change in our community.  We will provide 10-15 young people with a yearlong, paid leadership training and education with opportunities for hands-on experience in mental health, education, foster care advocacy, suicide prevention, child abuse prevention, criminal justice systems, sexual abuse prevention/awareness, and violence prevention.
