SpayGeorgia's goal is to increase the number of altered pets by providing a low cost alternative for surgery. To also decrease and eliminate the euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats. Widespread and affordable spay/neuter can significantly reduce the number of homeless animals. This is a humane solution to pet overpopulation.

SpayGeorgia was founded in 1991 and has issued over 110,000 certificates for spay/neuter. The SpayGeorgia program targets pet owners who need partial financial assistance, pet owners who cannot afford even low cost options, and those kind individuals who rescue strays off of the streets. SpayGeorgia is a private non-profit and we do not receive government funding. We rely on grants, donations and fundraising to support our programs. As funding allows, we donate our certificates to active/retired military pet owners, those who cannot afford to pay anything, disabled or unemployed pet owners, and for feral cats.

SpayGeorgia believes that most pet owners want to spay and neuter their pets, but oftentimes cost is a deterrent to the procedure. We work hard to keep our program affordable and keep our overhead as low as possible to put donation dollars to work spaying and neutering Georgia's dogs and cats.
