Local Mission

Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity (GSHFH) is a housing ministry dedicated to stregthening communities by empowering low-income families to change their lives and the lives of future generations through homeownership and home preservation opportunities. This is accomplished by working in partnership with diverser people, from all walks of life, to build and repair simple, decent, affordable housing.

Local Vision

The organizations vision is to serve 30 families in three years, from July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2017, actively work in more towns in Hampden County, Massachusetts, and open a ReStore home improvement and donation center.

This will be done by:

  • Seven (7) - newly constructed homes & zero percent interest mortgages
  • Three (3) - critical repair projects and zero percent interest micro-loans
  • Twenty (20)  - A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) projects, curb-appeal work with zero percent interest mirco-loans.
  • Open one (1) - ReStore Home Improvement & Donation Center in Westfield (opened April 17, 2017)
