T/R/S! (Talk/Read/Succeed!) is family-based early literacy program that involves more than two dozen Springfield organizations and agencies in a quest to boost reading among young children where the live and learn. T/R/S! unites two SHA family developments (Robinson Gardens and John L. Sullivan) with two public schools (Dorman and Boland Elementary).

T/R/S! is a wholistic program that includes education, health, parenting skills, and other activities that reach out to all ages in the effort to promote reading success by third grade. Partners that provde these services include more than two dozen Springfield area groups and agencies, including Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative which provides five weeks of summer learning for children attending Dorman and Boland.

The four guiding principles of T/R/S! are: Parent Engagement, Parent Education, Child Education and Family Self-Sufficiency. Since its inception, the T/R/S! program has shown remarkable success in raising reading skills among children and parenting skills among adults.
