Although we do offer some emergency assistance, our agency’s motto “Helping People; Changing Lives” reflects the fact that most of our programs operate on the “teach a man to fish” approach.
We believe that homeownership, education, and/or owning a small business should be within everyone’s reach. To this end, more than a third of our programs concentrate on asset development. We measure our success in the personal and financial growth of our clients. Among the services we provide are:
Asset Development Services including: credit counseling; financial literary workshops; individual development accounts; low-income tax clinic; and volunteer income tax assistance.
Housing & Energy Services including: emergency fuel assistance; energy conservation/weatherization; eviction clinic; and housing counseling
Veterans’ Services including introducing those who have served to the resource available to them like: assistance with health care; education; employment; financial services; housing and legal needs.
Youth & Family Services including: multicultural Alzheimer’s case management; New Beginnings Early Education and Care Center; and our scholarship program

Your Valley Gives donation can go a long way. Here are some of the ways in which your donation can help us to help others:
1) Help us to help youth and families. Your #valleygives donation of $12--a $1 for each program we offer-- lets us provide warm, safe, and affordable child care to income-eligible parents returning to work or school. Last year, along with caring for over 120 children from age six months to five years, New Beginnings Early Education & Care Center partnered with community organizations like Raising a Reader and The Lions Club to offered medical, dental, eye care, academic skill-building, and take home books to encourage reading at home.
2) Help us to help Alzheimer’s patients. Your #valleygives donation of $12--a $1 for each program we offer-- lets our Multicultural Alzheimer’s Program help our clients obtain health care and food assistance. Last year, we helped close to thirty senior citizens and/or individuals with disabilities (age 18-55) maintain independent living.
