The St. Croix Center For The Arts or "The ArtBarn", as it is lovingly called, is housed on 6.5 acres of beautiful landscape and at the heart of it our cherished 110 year-old barn. Our historic barn houses a 150-seat theatre, a rental gallery for artists, and a meeting/lobby space.

Established in 1993, the artists who created the St. Croix Center for the Arts, recognized the need for shared art resources in the river valley. Since then, The St. Croix Center for the Arts, or St. Croix ArtBarn, has been serving Osceola, and the surrounding communities with art classes, community theatre, rental space, gallery space, music, and special events.

In 2019 The ArtBarn's theatre season grew to 5 shows:

Our first ever "Show in the Grove" , A Midsummer Night's Dream, Disney's The Little Mermaid,  another first: Ole and Len's Wedding as a dinner theatre event, and Putnam's Spelling Bee.

In 2020, The ArtBarn started started heading in a new direction.  With a new Board of Directors, The ArtBarn is focusing on growing our collaboration with area businesses, non-profits, and arts organizations.

Our 2020 Season went dark due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, we bounced back in 2021 with COVID-safe productions, holding all of our rehearsals and performances outside in the oak grove.  We kicked off the season with one of the most musically challenging shows we have attempted to date: Godspell. That was followed by a fantastic production of Tom Sawyer, led by many talented children from the surrounding communities. We closed the season with our first ever interactive fall festive, complete with bonfire, pumpkins, and a performance of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

As we continue to rebuild post-COVID our 2023 season will stay at a slightly reduced 3 productions. June 2023 will also see the return of our theater camp for area youth!

The ArtBarn continues to host the St. Croix Valley Community Choir as well as Voices of the Valley, a performance choir for individuals with special needs.

The ArtBarn also continues to host arts classes for area art teachers, as well as rental space for those in the river valley community.

The St. Croix ArtBarn is a 501(c(3) non-profit whose mission is to provide a home in the St. Croix Valley for artistic excellence and a focal point for exploration and enjoyment of the arts.
