Help us build a garden for Mary!

Who We Are

The St. John Paul II Newman Center opened its doors to students in 2016. What started out as a vision to house UNO's Mav Catholic movement bloomed into a sanctuary for Catholic students from all of Omaha's colleges and universities. The new building brought our mission out of the darkness into the light, and the fruits are remarkable. We couldn't be prouder to proclaim our success!

125+ students participate in community nights
200+ students participate in Bible Studies
140+ students live in Newman Hall
50+ students attend daily mass
11 students have gone through RCIA at JPII Newman
7 students have gone on to enter seminary or discern other religious vocations

At a time when young people are leaving the faith, JPII Newman is a beacon of light and hope - providing college aged students an encouraging community and a place to live their Catholic Faith!
