St Mary African Methodist Episcopal Church

Since 1911, St Mary AME Church has worked to support the lives of the men and women of the Stoner Hill Community.  From daycare to food giveaways to providing financial support, St Mary members have exhibited a passion for helping others.  In order to take that passion to the next level, St Mary is embarking on an effort to purchase and revitalize the former Music Mountain Water Company building at 301 E. Herndon Ave in Shreveport.  Situated directly across the street from St Mary, this "West Campus" facility will serve as the birthing place for ministries and service opportunities to address the needs and concerns of the community.  Envisioned are GED and tutoring programs, hosting single parent ministries, feeding programs as well as expanded food pantries and clothes closets.  We invite you to share in this exciting time in the life of the church and the community as we move out to simply meet needs.
