Every day in our community, families are facing the unthinkable.

In the United States, nearly 46,000 lives are lost to suicide each year. Right here in St. Tammany Parish, the numbers are among the highest in Louisiana.

This is not someone else’s problem. This is happening here. To our neighbors. To our families.

STOPS is working to change that.

We train everyday people to recognize the warning signs and step in before it is too late through programs like ASIST and safeTALK.

We show up in the darkest moments through our LOSS Team, walking alongside families immediately after a suicide, day or night.

We provide ongoing support through our Survivors of Suicide groups, because those left behind are at risk, too.

But we cannot do this without you.
