St Paul of the Cross Parish for the St Winifred Food Pantry

To feed food-insecure individuals and families living predominately in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. No food insecure person/family is turned away. To meet increased community needs we distribute food: 1) St Winifred Food Pantry Every Wednesday and Saturday and 2) St Michael the Archangel Food Pantry, 310 Kane Blvd, M-F by appointment.

Who We Serve

Our main service area includes Baldwin Township, Bethel Park, Castle Shannon, Dormont, Mt Lebanon, Overbrook, Scott, South Park, Upper St Clair, Whitehall.

However, no food-insecure person is turned away.

More families are struggling with financial burdens:

In 2024, we had 8,755 pantry visits that served 28, 568 people.

2025 January to June: 5,343 pantry visits, a 30% increase from same period last year.
2025 January to June: 18,815 people were served, a 44% increase from same period last year.

Our new location, along the T Line, increases our accessibility to serve more food insecure families.
We are currently averaging over 200 families each week (>700 people a week).

Please, we need your help. Food and product costs have risen significantly for food pantries, too.

Our goal is to remain a full-service food pantry
Fresh Produce
Food staples: cereal, rice, pasta, canned goods
Frozen foods: meat, fish, poultry
Paper products: bathroom tissue, detergents, diapers

We are staffed by over 100 dedicated volunteers, no one is paid.
