Our Mission:

Stand for Children is a unique catalyst for educational success and social progress, to create a brighter future for us all.

Our Vision:

1. HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESS - Build collective power towards to ensure that our education system achieves better graduation outcomes and post-secondary achievement for youth experiencing systematic barriers, navigating houselessness or poverty, the foster system, or experienced incarceration.
2. RESTORATIVE EDUCATION - Reduce the harmful impacts of juvenile legal system involvement on young people’s opportunities and eliminate pipelines from K-12 education that push young people into carceral systems. Our efforts to build community-based solutions will be led by those closest to the challenge.
3. SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS - We must create inclusive, equitable environments that cultivate belonging and affirm students’ intersecting identities. We will build the capacity of young people, families, and educators to engage in local policymaking, elections, and advocacy opportunities while deepening our community partnerships.

Stand aims to raise $10,000 this year to fuel the great work of our community.

Your support will: 

1. Empower families and youth voices to organize and advocate for laws and policies that advance equal opportunities for all students to thrive in.
2. Equip our state educators, with the tools and resources they need to guide and support students during their make-or-break ninth-grade year and ensuring student stay on track for high school graduation. 
3. Help district leaders expand access to advance courses, opening doors to college, careers, and lifelong success. 
4. Help eradicate barriers like juvenile fines and fees, so every young person can fully engage in school and prepare for life after involvement in juvenile institutions and a brighter future.
