Stay in the Fight Veterans Foundation

A nonprofit organization

More than 20 million men and women living in the US have served in the US military. Many of these Veterans were deployed to engage in combat operations, spending long periods being hyper-vigilant in high-stress situations. It is estimated that 1 in 5 combat veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), or orthopedic injury and/or amputations resulting in significant mental health issues or dependencies on drugs or alcohol to cope with the visible or invisible wounds of war.

Founded in 2019 Stay in the Fight Veterans Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports Veterans of North Texas that have suffered some kind of injury in combat, either physical or mental, and are in need of support to help them achieve a healthy and successful life.

These veterans are considered high risk due to their injuries and their needs span the spectrum from homelessness all the way to job training and executive coaching and every situation in between.

We focus on 3 main areas:

JIV: The Justice Involved Veterans Assistance Program provides financial assistance to veterans in the North Texas Regional Veterans Court or Valor Programs. Resources are directed to needs for temporary housing, treatment, therapy, food, and other essential services.

BCP: Brothers Connected Program is a program that is being developed to help provide support for veterans either recently discharged or post-commencement from the Veteran Court program.

WA: Warriors Anonymous is a program being developed that mirrors other alcohol and drug addiction programs but is designed for veterans.
