The Zambia Project was founded in 2002 by View Church (Cape Town, South Africa). Its mission is "to establish a Christ-centered church within walking distance of every person in the Western Province and to see all villages impacted by the Gospel and uplifted through a strong Christian Community." One aspect of The Zambia Project's outreach is their Village of Hope. Currently, Village of Hope Mongu has a school for vulnerable children, 2 homes for orphaned children, and a clinic. It is in this Village of Hope that I serve.

In my work, I teach students who face academic challenges, as well as work with the school's teachers in learning different teaching practices and strategies. Furthermore, I work with the mothers in the Village of Hope homes in understanding the development and behaviors of the children. I work to help meet the academic, spiritual, and emotional needs of the children at Village of Hope.

God is doing amazing work in Zambia. The confidence, health, and spirits of the children is growing! I have seen children too weak to walk up one step go to running and laughing in just a few short months. I have seen children with low self-esteem blossom in confidence and self-assurance. I have seen children on their death bed fully restored in health. God is at work in Zambia and I ask you to partner with me in it.
