"Survivor Theatre Project has been life-changing, and that is not meant to be cliche.  My own healing accelerated.  With STP, I found a place where I could not only shed some of the shame and stigma of being an incest survivor, but also where I could work to effect social change.”  Cynthia Mochowski

It was very moving, and full of truth.  Your actresses were so incredibly brave and you did a beautiful job….showing their individuality,  while offering a very cohesive performance with a clear vision.  Bravo!!” Stephanie Cotton-Snell, Girl Talk Theater, Audience Member

Survivor Theatre Project is a unique effort to utilize the power of the performing arts to support survivors and make change in our communities. Rape, assault, incest, and childhood sexual abuse are profoundly isolating experiences, especially in a culture with so much institutionalized denial in place about why these things happen, what the consequences are, and how to stop it. But here at Survivor Theatre Project, survivors can come together in conscious awareness, build an ensemble, learn theatre and improvisation skills, and create something amazing TOGETHER. Participants celebrate their strengths, discover their commonalities, and explore their unique stories. Uplifting performances engage wider audiences in breaking silence and preventing violence in small and large ways in their own lives.

"Do it again!  Do it again!  Do it again!" Ginnie Walden, Participant/Artist

"I hope Survivor Theatre will continue to thrive and grow and be able to offer MORE." Lauren, Participant/Artist
