Child sex trafficking and sexual trauma are ugly topics, but if you don't stand up, who will?  With the help of the community we have helped hundreds of girls.  Jenny is one of them.

Jenny is only 11 years old. She lived with her grandfather who sexually molested her. She was taken out of the home and placed under the guardianship of Child Protective Services at the age of six. Jenny lived in several group homes but the fit wasn’t right, as she would act out and alienate those around her. When she came to treetLightUSA
everything changed for her.

After several interviews with counselors, Jenny shared that in another group home, a caregiver would dress her in pretty dresses, put make-up on her, and send her on “dates” with men. During these “dates” Jenny had to perform sex acts.

Jenny is now fully integrated into the StreetLightUSA community. Some of  the older girls have taken on a mothering role with Jenny, doing her hair every day and including her in all of their activities.

Jenny is enrolled in our on-site school, attending therapy, and beginning to understand the travesty of what happened to her. 

The average age of girls recruited into sex tracking is 13.
