Student Tutoring & Enrichment Program

Student Tutoring & Enrichment Program a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, has been in operation since 1989 providing early education (Lo. Co. Success by 6), After-School Tutoring and Enrichment and Summer Camps for the Lowndes County area. This organization is consistently providing opportunities to eliminate the problems of quality early education for single and teenage parents, students performing below grade level and a lack of enrichment activities for our youth.

Our children live in an area where they do not have  access to any formal community recreational activities or facilities outside of the local school system. There does not exist any areas for swimming, tennis, soccer fields or any YMCA in this county. However, The STEP Program has provided more than twenty years of activities and opportunities for exposure to the arts, swimming, theater, summer camps, after-school and pre-school programs for the children of this county.

Some of the resources that helped us achieve our goals in the past are no longer available.  We are therefore; seeking your assistance to fund this work that is so vital to the progress the children in  our communities.  Please join us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of the children and their families.  Without this program's activities many of the children of Lowndes County would never have visited a swimming pool, a movie theater, or even traveled outside of their rural areas.
