Sugarfoot Farm Rescue

Sugarfoot Farm Rescue is located in Columbia, KY on 120 acres of land.  Our dogs are all spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped.  Our adoption fee is a mere $50.  Our only request is that dogs adopted from us become a member of the family and are not tied out of penned up outside.  

We are a no kill shelter.  This is the dogs' home until they find a forever home. If a dog is adopted and doesn't work out, they are returned to us.   We also offer low cost/no cost spay/neuter certificates.    

Visitors are welcome.  We are open 7 days a week from 10 am to 4 pm Central Time.  We post our dogs on Adopt A Pet, but due to a lack of time, they are not always all posted.  The best thing to do is to come and meet the dogs.  I'm sure one will pick you out.

Our dogs are not penned up.  They are free in fenced in areas.  This way we know how they interact with other dogs, cats, and people.  I know each dog's personality and can recommend the best match.  People often come to visit looking for a certain dog and go home with a totally different dog.  Often, the dog picks out the owner.

We depend on donations.  Costs are increasing.  Dog food, veterinarian expenses, bedding, and cleaning supplies have gone up and up.  We feed 200 pounds of dog food a day.  Any amount you can contribute to the rescue is appreciated.  We also can use blankets and towels, bleach and cleaning supplies, dog toys, leashes and collars.  

We participate in fund raising programs such as Kroger and I Give.  You can raise money for us without spending any extra.
