Campaign Against Human Trafficking-SouthShore

A nonprofit organization

$975 raised by 14 donors

  • We care because these are our children and our grandchildren that are treated as commodities in one of the ugliest forms of human bondage.  Some of these children, both girls and boys, are as young as 11 or 12.  They miss out on education, family, and medical treatment.  Once rescued by the FBI or the police, it may take years of rehabilitation to get them back to any state of near normalcy and they always live with the emotional scars of their abuse.

Some of our monies go towards providing backpacks with clothing and basic necessities to the police and FBI to give to a rescued person.  The balance of it goes to safe houses and other organizations that provide assistance to the rescued.

Sex trafficking is the second largest criminal activity after the drug trade.  It is one that we should all care about stopping, both by contributing funds to help those rescued and by appealing to our legislators to create tougher penalties, not only for the pimps, but also for the users.
