Support U.S. Armed Forces provides special programs that shower our military and their families with the support they need and deserve. We want to give them encouragement for the next mission and provide resources as they return home to their loved ones.

Mr. Clark,

This holiday season has been especially difficult for me and my little boys, 2 and 8. My babies are my life and its been difficult to tell them I don't have a specific food they like or can't buy a toy they want, like the singing toothbrush for my 8-year-old has been obsessing over.  Today I walked into the commissary and when my little guy asked for a snack I didn't have to say not today, again.  I wasn't nervous and scared of not having enough money.  The gift cards for food were literally a blessing!  The gas card allowed me to take the boys to the park they love which is 30 minutes away. It meant I could go out with my kids and not worry about how much was left in the tank.  The Christmas Care Package meant I didn't have to choose between feeding my kids or fuel for the car and as a mother of growing boys the feeling of relief from these worries is indescribable. I am not sure what words would fully capture how I feel, but the three I can think of are gratefulness, hope, and love.

Serving in the Armed Forces is often seen as both courageous and brave, garnering much respect by all. However, it is no secret, while battling for our freedom on foreign soil, troops are often battling anxiety over how their families are doing back home. By supporting our military and their families, we hope to reduce our soldiers' burden so that they may protect the freedoms that we continue to enjoy.

Today, with the rise in suicide rates, divorce rates, and increasing financial hardships, many of our U.S. Veterans and their families need our support. Here are the harsh realities: Over 2 Million service members have been deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Combat zones since 2001.

•  Over 40,000 have suffered injuries.

•  Combat Stress is very high for our military because of increased fighting and repeated deployments with long separations from their families.

•  Divorce Rates among military service members has nearly doubled to over 30,000 per year.

•  Suicide Rates for returning military personnel far exceeds the civilian population.

•  During the height of Iraqi Freedom and the war in Afghanistan, Support U.S Armed Forces has hand delivered over 40,000 welcome home packages to our returning troops.  At the same time, over 5,000 deployed family care packages have been delivered to very deserving military families.  It was our way to personally connect with our service men and women and their families with a sincere thank you and appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

As the conflicts changed and evolved, so too have our programs. 

We are making a difference by providing the following signature programs:

•  REACH MILITARY MARRIED COUPLES WORKSHOP:  Through the Reach program, our intention is to rejuvenate a loving caring relationship for each couple. We provide a non-threatening, fun environment for the couple to feel safe, where no one will use any information against the veteran or spouse.  This exclusive one-day event is for the couple to open up, to learn good communications skills, and to overcome the unintended challenges that arise from multiple-deployments.

•  VETERANS’ HONOR HUNTS: As our Veterans transition from the “war front” to the “home front,” recovery time becomes very important because war-time does not end when the war heroes return home.  Support U.S. Armed Forces, in conjunction with Mellon Creek Outfitters, provide these heroes with an exclusive outdoor experience. The PURPLE HEART HONOR HUNT is an annual event held in October and the WOMEN COMBAT VETERANS’ HUNT is in September. Support U.S. Armed Forces provides each nominated selectee with airfare and hunting licenses. Mellon Creek Outfitters graciously provide the lodging, food, and guide services. 

•  MILITARY APPRECIATION SPORTING EVENTS: “There is nothing quite as “American” as a night away, the thrill of a Sporting Event, all while supporting the men and women who protect our freedom – it’s just an unbeatable combination. We provide opportunities for the military, their families, and our veterans to attend Professional and Collegiate Sporting Events such as, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, and other sporting venues. We have and continue to honor our veterans from WWII to current, as we recognize them for their sacrifice and service to our Great Nation.

•  DEPLOYED FAMILY ASSISTANCE PACKAGES: The Deployed Family Assistance Package is designed to relieve some of the financial burden placed on the families of deployed troops. While the troops are put in harm's way, the families at home are making huge sacrifices as well. The Deployed Family Assistance Package provides these military families with everyday essentials that a family needs to survive, such as household supplies, fuel gift cards, merchant gift cards, and military base commissary gift cards.  Additionally, we also include letters of encouragement from you to let our military families know that their sacrifices are appreciated and have not gone unnoticed. Not only do our active duty veterans appreciate this gesture, it allows them to focus on the job at hand by easing some of the financial burden.
