Today, we offer you the opportunity to join Wednesday's Child in making a lifelong difference in the life of a foster child. While many foster children are reunited with their families, some are not able to return home. These children, for a variety of reasons, can no longer live with their biological parents, but they all share one dream: to be adopted by a loving, devoted family. They, like all children, long for a home where they feel safe, secure, and cherished.

Since its inception in 1980, Wednesday's Child has helped thousands of children find their forever homes. Yet today, over 2,100 foster children in Kentucky are still waiting for adoption—children just like Raiden. Wednesday's Child firmly believes that there are no unadoptable children, only families yet to be found. We need your help to continue our mission and find families for these deserving children.

Our Holiday Party focuses on local foster children who are not currently being considered for adoption. These children fill out a wish list that their caseworker sends to us, and Wednesday’s Child shops for those specific items, with a budget of $125 per child. These gifts are wrapped and brought to the Holiday Party, where foster children enjoy pizza, games, and the joy of opening their presents. In 2023, we shopped for 100 foster children. The event is a wonderful opportunity to show these children how much they are cared for and valued.

Our goal is to raise $15,000, which will allow us to expand our outreach beyond the Louisville Metro area and share success stories across Kentucky.
