For 35 years, Susquehanna County Interfaith has been a trusted place for hope, help, and second chances for individuals, families, and seniors in our community. We’re here to offer support that not only meets urgent needs but also creates lasting change.
Our programs are designed to restore dignity and open doors to a stronger future. They include:
Emergency Assistance: immediate support with essentials like clothing, household items, and financial assistance for eviction notices, fuel, and utilities—helping individuals and families through crises with dignity and care.
Pathways: is a one-on-one mentorship program that helps individuals — including teens — build confidence, explore careers, develop life skills, and create a personalized plan for long-term success.
Adulting 101: a 10-week group program for high school students that builds essential life skills, workforce readiness, and confidence for independent living and future success.
Dream Camp: a fun, hands-on summer experience for middle schoolers to explore careers, discover their passions, and build confidence while learning how they can make a difference in their communities.
The Shoe Program: provides income-eligible children in Susquehanna County with a brand-new pair of shoes and a backpack full of school supplies—boosting confidence and helping them start the school year ready to succeed.
We also operate three peaceful, affordable thrift boutiques in Montrose, Susquehanna, and Forest City. These shops provide everything from household essentials to hidden treasures — and every purchase supports our mission.
At Interfaith, we believe that when people are supported with compassion and opportunity, they thrive — and so does our community.
We are here… no matter what! Throughout this turbulent time Interfaith has stayed true to its mission – and responded to fast-moving crisis with creativity, flexibility and a lot of grit.
Even before the pandemic, we were providing families, friends and neighbors with resources, retail and relief. In 2020 we enhanced those efforts, making the shift to a larger location and quickly providing emergency food assistance, job loss support, and new tools to provide a pathway towards future goals.
