Sustainable Southbury

In Southbury, Small Actions Are Making Meaningful Change!

Sustainable Southbury is turning that idea into action—helping residents and businesses reduce waste, conserve energy, and build a healthier community.

Our volunteer-driven effort is making a measurable impact: over 1,000,000 bottles and cans recycled, 118 tons of food waste diverted from landfills, more families receiving free energy services and gaining the tools to cut energy use, attending well water safety education, learning to do backyard composting, and ways to reduce the health impacts of single-use plastics in their homes.

These aren’t small wins—they’re real steps toward a cleaner, more resilient Southbury.  But momentum like this doesn’t sustain itself.

As demand for these programs grows, so does the need for funding to expand outreach, increase food waste solutions, and help more households transition to more sustainable practices.

Your donation today directly fuels that progress. Give Local —doesn’t just support a cause; it helps grow a movement that’s already working.

We thank you for your generosity.
