Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits

We are the major organization in the County convening the nonprofit voice to focus on health and human service public policy issues.   SVCN works to ensure the nonprofit sector's voice is heard and that solutions are developed in ways in which Everybody Wins.

The Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits has become known for its effectiveness in representing the needs and concerns of its member agencies and the clients that they serve. We work to ensure government funding is not cut for critical services. We are a watchdog and advocate for ensuring health services are properly funded and provided by the nonprofit sector. We provide information on legislative trends and actions at both the county and state level through e-mail bulletins and communication on critical issues related to the state or county budget. To be effective, SVCN advocates and educates policy makers on the importance of the nonprofit sector and the impact of budget reductions to client care.  

 SVCN is unlike any other organizational development group due to our significant network of 200 members and our focus on public policy that provides immediate influence for nonprofits within key government and foundation arenas.
