Lincolnaire Chorus

 

The Lincolnaire Chorus is part of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through competition, education, and performances. Women of all ages and professions--business and professional women, teachers, administrative personnel, homemakers, senior citizens, and students--represent Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

 

A Sweet Adelines chorus is comprised of women with an avid music interest, which is expressed through singing and performing. Members enjoy a shared musical experience and have diverse opportunities in administration, leadership, choral directing, music arranging, and many other areas. Sweet Adeline choruses regularly entertain at civic events and charitable functions.  

Proceeds from performances are often shared with scholarship funds, health care and social services programs, and the arts and humanities. 

The organization supports The Young Singers Foundation whose purpose is to enrich the lives of young people by supporting vocal music programs and education through its grant program.
