Swiftsure Ranch Therapeutic Equestrian Center Inc

Imagine a child that doesn't fit into the mainstream. They quietly observe the world from afar and are told regularly they "can't do that", or they "don't have the ability to do this." At times, they feel segregated from their peers and wish they could participate and/or relate.

Now imagine that same child is introduced to their therapist, a 1000 lb. horse with all the unconditional love this child needs. Not only that, but the walking gate of the horse closely resembles the human walking gait more than any other movement known to man. Confidence, self-esteem, self trust, human-animal bond and love are experienced by our riders.

The smiles on our riders and their families faces is the reason we love doing what we do. Equine therapies and activities support the transformation of lives every day.

Swiftsure Ranch serves riders from age 2 to over 80 with a wide range of disabilities. Over 100 riders participate each week - year round - at absolutely NO CHARGE. 

As a Premiere Accredited PATH center, Swiftsure Ranch also provides Equine Facilitated Learning, psychotherapy and HIPPO physical therapies throughout the year and in special programs with certified specialists. 

Our Veterans have done so much for us and our country. We give back by providing customized support programs for groups of Veterans to find potential healing, civilian reintegration and trust with our therapists, the horses.

In collaboration with other local nonprofits, Swiftsure Ranch also provides special day camps and equine programs throughout the summer months.
