The mission of Tempe Leadership is to attract, develop, educate, and empower individuals through leadership programs and to make a positive impact in the community through our Tempe Leadership, Tempe Youth Leadership, Tempe Cares, and Alumni Programs.

Tempe Leadership has three main programs: Adult Leadership, Youth Leadership and Tempe Cares.

Our Adult Leadership program provides an opportunity for participants to connect to people and organizations in the Tempe community, develop ties to a network of alumni and stakeholders, and participate in a highly regarded professional development leadership program.

Tempe Cares organizes citizen volunteers to reduce blight and improve the appearance of Tempe's neighborhoods and community spaces. Tempe Cares is the Tempe community's annual volunteer event, with hundreds of Tempe residents, employees, students, businesses and organizations joining forces to improve the community and show how much they care. Each year these volunteers come together to invest their combined resources of skilled and unskilled physical labor, tools and building materials to help improve quality of life in Tempe.

Tempe Youth Leadership provides a free unique leadership opportunity for youth living or attending school within the City of Tempe. Tempe Youth Leadership teaches leadership skills, promotes community involvement, and educates our youth on the Tempe community. Through issue-oriented seminars and interaction with community leaders, Tempe Youth Leadership exposes participants to leadership opportunities and prepares them for leadership roles - on both individual and group levels.
