Texas Mission of Mercy, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

The mission of TMOM, Inc. is to assist in the provision of dental care to the underserved by providing preventative oral healthcare education and clinical dental services to Texans.

Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) Is a multi-annual traveling dental clinic providing basic dental care to Texans with limited resources and/or access to care, visiting 4 cities each year. Volunteer dental professionals provide free treatment to attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis, including fillings, cleanings, extractions, root canals, and removable partials, to relieve pain and improve oral health. The patients we treat at TMOM events are often low-income, uninsured or underserved, aging, disabled, or simply the working poor who have had to forego dental care to meet other basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing. Many TMOM patients have not been to a dentist in over a decade and have other severe health issues related to their lack of dental care. There are currently zero restrictions on who is served at each event. Since 2001, Texas dentists have volunteered for 92 mission events, treated more than 50,000 patients, and provided more than $50 million in charitable dental care through the organization.

Testimonials
