Advocate for Youth Art this Summer

Money raised will provide students in need with the opportunity to experience art as an expressive outlet in an enriching, Museum environment. Your contributions can help us take down financial barriers that stand in the way of fostering artistic talent for youth ages 6-17 with the most need in our community. From providing scholarships, to supplying art materials and quality educators, each dollar raised will endow students from every walk of life the same opportunities for inspired creation they deserve.

Summer Art Camp at the Tampa Museum of Art is a unique experience for students to engage with the work currently on exhibit in the galleries through the art making process and exhibition. Ranging from historic and classic treasures of the ancient world to modern and contemporary collaborations, students gain a personal understanding that can only come from a gallery setting. Under the guidance of experienced art educators, students then produce their own art pieces inspired by current exhibitions in camps like “Ancient Illustration”, “Printmaking with Nature”, and “Masters of Contemporary Sculpture”. At the end of each camp week, students eagerly work with their teachers to stage their own camp exhibitions in the Museum’s Dickey Family Lecture Hall.

It is truly remarkable to see these learners proudly present the culmination of all they’ve accomplished to their families and local community.

$10 Will provide one student snack for one week of camp

$25 Will provide one student in need with lunch for one week of camp.

$50 Will provide one student in need with art supplies for a full week of camp.

$150 Will provide a scholarship for one week’s worth of a camp for a student in need.

$300 Will provide a scholarship for a full week of morning & afternoon camps for a student in need.

$500 Will provide a stipend for quality instructors for one week of facilitating Summer Art Camp.
