Tampa Urban Benefit Farms Inc

TUB Farms creates unique mini hydroponic "farms," and installs these systems at local schools.  We then work together with students and teachers to learn how to grow vegetables, learn about nutrition and ultimatley the importance of helping others by donating the vegetables to food pantries.

 

Our first TUB Farm was installed just this past August at our first school - Hillel Academy, and it is a huge success!  In just 3 short months we have worked with students to install their TUB Farm system, which has the ability to grow up to 385 plants. We have planted with every grade in the school, have had teachers come out to the Farm to teach students various concepts they are studying in class, the studens have harvested their first harvest and donated hundreds of dollars worth of vegetables to a local food pantry!  And we have only had 1 growing season! 

 

We hope to replicate the amazing success of the Hillel TUB Farm program at schools all across the Tampa Bay area, and need your help to achieve our goals!
