TBAE Network began in 1987 when there were 15 channels on cable. For over 37 years, TBAE has not only survived the ever-changing technology trends, but is now thriving, and is one of the few remaining local channels dedicated to arts and education. Since 2012 we have invested in upgrading our production and channel equipment, which now presents the channels in the highest quality (16 x 9 format) with closed captions.

TBAE network always increasing accessibility by offering closed captions on TBAE original programs, offering Spanish language art programs accompanied by Spanish language promotional materials, and offering attractive arts programs for seniors. For many, a life well lived means life long learning. As most social scientists believe that education is the most important factor in ensuring longer lives, TBAE has made it a special point to provide programs for all those who wish to continue their education.

In addition, we expose the Tampa Bay area to NEW filmmakers, artists, historians, scientist and much more. And over the course of this year, with financial support from our viewers, to hope to reach the world with our app for mobile access to TBAE programs. TBAE believes that its high quality programming should be shared with the world and we need your help to do so!
